β-Carotene

Call me strange (a name I live up to), but I LOOOVE cooked carrots. Especially when they are cooked with meat/in meat juice. I just love the flavor and the texture of them! Much better than raw carrots if you ask me. And, what better way to get β-Carotene? Although this also probably connects to my love for most things that are “mushy”.

French fries, cereal that has sat in milk for at least 10 minutes, well steamed broccoli, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches dipped in milk (don’t knock it until you try it), graham crackers in milk… Yes, call me strange, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

(I’m also loving that the origin is Greek “beta” and Latin “carota” (carrot), and that the Greek symbol for beta can be used in place of the full spelling.)
